While under final programming after construction and transport to site, this systems function is to continually analyse dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature and reduction oxidisation from two separate waste water aeration ponds at different times using submersible pumps for programmed durations.
During the hour long cycle, water from the first aeration pond is continually pumped through analysis chamber before being returned to a different location in the original pond. At the completion of the analysis cycle the system vents and empties the sample chamber to ensure minimal cross contamination between ponds before changing to the second aeration pond and is fully automated.
The sensing probes are self cleaning by way of high pressure water jet and manual bypass facilities are in place to enable shutdown for probe maintenance and restart should the need arise.
In line flow sensors are in place to notify site personnel if a flow line or pump failure has occurred by way of system alarms and automatically switches to the alternate aeration pond until the pump is repaired or flow is reinstated.
The measurements of analytical equipment such as dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature and reduction oxidisation along with system status conditions, are continually transmitted in real time via radio telemetry to the production plants SCADA system some 5km's away.
