By far the least expensive alternative to hard cabling, telemetry networks are invaluable when data from, or control of, remote field equipment is required. ACS designs and installs lightning protected solar powered telemetry systems for remote locations providing bi-direction communications of analogue, digital or serial data for monitoring and control requirments. Based upon application and terrain, the telemetry modems utilise either direct "line of sight" radio links, mesh technology, or NextG networks with dedicated VPN's to maintain a continual information transfer and enable area wide real time operations of multiple sites. Incorporating this data into SCADA systems enable interactive and intuitive display screens making information instantly available company wide from virtually any location, from laptops in the field to board rooms, resulting in improved real time decision making processors, reduced overall costs and enable virtually instantaneous production improvements.

ACS remote telemetry units are designed for a fixed position and incorporate a single door IP65 rated pole mounted system enclosure. The system enclosure houses the modem and ancillary electronic equipment on heavy duty TS-35 DIN rails with 10mm standoffs, while all DIN rail mounted power terminals are 6.0mm feed through group separated based on voltage and signal designation while being identified with appropriate numbering system. All cable ducting is slotted and all power cabling is 4.0mm.

The pole is 4.5mx100mm capped and galvanised, erected in a perminent location and embedded for stability within 1m of concrete. Atop the pole and behind the 80W solar panel is an antenna rated for the required operating frequencies, while a 70Ah battery is external to the system enclosure and housed within a separate rain proof case supported above ground level on pole mounted stays in close proximity to a 1.5m grounding rod. All external solar panel and battery cabling is 1.5mm 2 pair armoured and enclosed within the support pole via appropriate glanding.
